Fabric Selections

Our fabric selections include wovens, knits,waterproof (PUL), Waterproof Breathables (WPB) and Stay-Dry materials and textiles. Most of our All-Natural and Organic options are knits, although we do carry a few wovens. For custom work, please contact Felisa at felisa@ecodipes.com.

Wovens/Flannel

Our cutest prints are WOVENS. When choosing WOVENS, however, the fabric has little to no stretch.
Sizing is very important with WOVEN fabrics. If your child is on the verge of a growth spurt into the next sizing option, go ahead and buy the larger size. These do not "give" with the baby's contours as much. Also, when trying to squeeze a baby into a size they've outgrown, you'll have a tough time and more often a leaky diaper.

Knits

KNIT fabrics will give and stretch more with baby. This is also handy for those bulky doublers. However, knitted fabrics are harder to find in cute prints. Most of our ALL Natural fabrics are knits.

Waterproof

Our waterproof materials work best as the outer layer on our Pass Thru Pocket Diaper, AIO, AI2, Diaper Wraps and Diaper Covers. Wool is also considered waterproof or a " soaker."

Stay-Dry/Wick-Away Fabrics

Our Stay-Dry fabrics are 100% polyester. Polyester does not absorb moisture but either repels it or in our case wicks it into our absorbent fabrics. Polyester does not stain. This is especially useful as a diaper liner or to top our absorbent fitted diapers to protect from staining. Our MicroFleece is a double velour, anti-pill fleece directly from Malden Mills.
